Each week, I create a series of slides to help us move smoothly from subject to subject. Each new subject is introduced with our learning goals for the day and some type of formal or informal assessment, or self-assessment, is performed. These are a great way to help pace myself when I'm teaching while also creating a positive learning environment for my students with graphics, directions, sentence stems, and choice options.
Here are a few examples how I have used Google slides to showcase our lessons and schedule each week. I use these both in-person and remote teaching.
Here is an example of a third-grade science lesson plan I designed and implemented.
These resources include:
Written lesson plans in PDF format
Classroom slides used in Google Slides
Exit ticket (with and without sentence stems)
Standards and objectives the lesson will cover
Focus Question
Three different assessments
Differentiation
Here is an example of a fourth-grade science unit plan I designed and implemented. It was designed using the Backwards Design Process. I have also included all of the learning targets and test items needed to complete this unit.
These two documents include:
Standards the unit will cover
Essential questions and big understandings
Ending performance task
Daily lessons with CLOs, supports, and active engagement strategies
Rubrics for performance tasks
Self-assessment activity
Pre- and Post-assessments
This is a sample data set of reading assessment data from the 2019-2020 school year. I tested my students with three reading tests throughout the year—iReady, Star, and the IRLA. From these results, I was able to create customized learning plans for each student based on their learning needs and goals.
I would sit with each student, go over the results with them in a way they would understand, and we would make academic goals together and set a plan for how we would achieve those goals by a specific date and how we would celebrate attaining our goals.
This is a differentiation guide for teaching gifted learners I wrote when I was in my graduate program. My cognate was specialized in gifted learners and how to appropriately challenge and teach them within a general education classroom. This report offers strategies, intervention examples, and research-backed strategies to use in the classroom.

In my graduate program, I was able to conduct a case study on an elementary-aged child. My findings and recommendations can be read by reading the PDF here.
