Charlotte Orbach believes education and learning never stops. It is a continuous cycle of creating knowledge and applying those learnings to lifelong achievement. Education is creating an enriched and culturally-responsive learning environment where her students share the same passions for education as her own. Charlotte wants her students to learn in an environment that cultivates and nurtures creativity. She is eager to teach her students how to ignite their learning in a way that is authentic, purposeful, and empowering. She is determined to cultivate this passion in every student that walks through her classroom door and learn with them throughout the process. The discovery of knowledge and a love for learning is a vital skill she strives to teach her students on a daily basis for future success and unlimited growth potential.
She believes in fostering equity-based curriculum and instruction for all students. When engagement and inquiry are elevated within the classroom, students’ potential for learning soar. Supporting the capabilities of all learning styles and abilities is essential to her practice. She pledges to continually know students’ backgrounds, interests, and cultures so they have a home within her classroom. She is dedicated in creating a diverse instruction style where her students feel valued, respected, and confident.
Charlotte also believes that data-driven assessment and instruction is fundamental to meeting the needs of all my students. By monitoring student growth, she assesses and creates differentiation strategies and opportunities to support the success of academic growth to close the achievement gap in an ever-growing diverse society. She will not only hold herself to high standards of success but every one of her students too.
Finally, Charlotte believes nurturing and developing students’ social and emotional skills is an essential and necessary part of being an educator. School should be a place where students feels safe, confident, challenged, and inspired to learn. By committing herself to these beliefs, she is dedicated to supporting the whole child. By building a positive and trusting relationship with her students, Charlotte empowers her students’ abilities and motivations towards a culture of lifelong learning and achievement.
